You may have heard the famous story of Bonnie and Clyde, but you haven’t heard this happy tail!

One evening, a good samaritan noticed two dogs wandering on the side of the road. She stopped the car and was able to take them back to her home. Her family decided to call the dogs Bonnie and Clyde, noticing their bond and the fact that Bonnie was going to have puppies.

This kind person contacted Henrico Humane for assistance and, soon, sweet mama Bonnie had five healthy pups at her foster home with proud papa Clyde standing by. When the pups were old enough, HHS placed them with loving foster families.

After all puppy shots were given and spays/neuters were complete, all five pups were adopted. Clyde was adopted by the good samaritan’s family, and Bonnie will soon be available for adoption after she is spayed.

It truly took a village of caring animal lovers to make sure these dogs and puppies would have the chance to live their best lives and keep their happy tails a waggin’!
