HHS rescued a stray named Blondie from the regional shelter in King William. She was young, unsocialized, and had no manners. In addition, she had anxiety which made it difficult for her to interact safely with other dogs. The Henrico Humane dog team weighed the options and determined that training was what she needed.
We had her evaluated by a very reputable trainer, Breakthrough K9 Training, and they determined they could work with her to improve her behaviors. They focused on improving her ability to interact safely with other dogs, while also helping her impulse control with resource guarding and leash reactivity.
The 3-week board and train program cost $2,000. Henrico Humane had the funds available only because of donors like you. We cannot thank you enough. And neither can Blondie! Fast forward a few weeks, and Blondie graduated the program AND found her forever family (thank you to Breakthrough K9 for playing matchmaker)!
