Izzy is a sweet one and half year old who has proven to be one tough cookie. After her two puppies were adopted, Henrico Humane Society saved Izzy from a rural shelter where she endured a painful pyometra. Pyometra is an infection of the female organs which threatens a dog’s life if not caught in an early stage. This serious condition resulted in a costly emergency spay surgery. Because HHS intervened, Izzy made a full recovery. We also began treating Izzy for heartworms so she is now starting to live her best life! All she needs is her furever family!
