Paithoon, aka Pai, is an awesome little guy who Henrico Humane rescued after he was dumped at an apartment complex. Sadly, he was suffering from multiple medical issues, and his medical ailments started quickly piling up after a few exams.

When we first took him in, we found he had vision troubles and soon realized he suffered from a condition where the conjunctival membranes that normally cover the whites of the eyes have grown over his corneas, causing him to lose a lot of his sight. He had a surgery to remove the membranes and restore his vision, but soon after he had an ear infection. He also suffered from multiple infections in his gums and had a tumor growing in his mouth. After we took care of the tumor, we had to remove most of his teeth. After we took care of the teeth, we found that his liver values were elevated, which means he had a liver infection, and he was hospitalized for 10 days.

This dude could not catch a break, but thanks to our volunteers and donors like you, and fundraisers like Cash for Cats, we can make sure he is happy, healthy, and ready to be adopted when he feels better! Pai’s foster said that he is an “insta-cat” meaning he walks into every home like he owns the place and gets comfortable right away. He is a fighter and waiting to get healthy and find his fur-ever home!
