Meet Ringo, a happy, playful 3-year old plott-hound boy who was surrendered to the shelter twice. His first owner moved to an apartment where he couldn’t have dogs, and then a nice family took him home to be a friend for their own dog, but the two dogs played way too hard for the small children in the house. He loves to play with other dogs, and gets rave reviews from everyone who meets him. His beautiful brindle coat sure catches attention too. He is housebroken, knows basic commands, and loves to go for a walk. He will sit down and patiently wait when he sees you pick up a leash, but is ready to roll when you get outside. He’s great in a car, and after an initial bout of excitement, is great on a leash walk too. He does have an obsession with squirrels, so we are not recommending him for a home with cats. And we are looking for a home with no small children for him to knock over too. He can definitely settle down, but he’s always up for an adventure or play time. Looking for a second dog that will fit right in? He’s your guy. Looking for a partner for hiking or running? Look no further. Handsome Ringo is perfect for you.
If you have an interest in Ringo we recommend and encourage you to complete an online application before coming to our next adoption event. Adoption events are every Saturday, excluding holidays, at the Petco located at 11331 W. Broad Street, Glen Allen, VA (next to Trader Joe’s) from 11:00am to 2:00pm. The online application can be found at henricohumane.org. A volunteer will respond as soon as possible, typically within 48 hours.
Please Note: Not all of our dogs attend each event so to find out if the dog you are interested in will be attending the next adoption stand, please email email@example.com.
