Found Puppies Two puppies appeared in my yard last night. I was mowing the grass w/ two of my dogs out front. I'm hoping they weren't "dumped". One is a male shepherd/golden/chow and the other is a female black and white maybe a border collie or cattle dog mix. They're probably 6-8mo old. I live in Old Gun Estates near Old Gun Rd.and Huguenot Rd. I've posted signs and reported it to Chesterfield and Richmond since I live on the border. I called the VECand will be calling local vets. They're nice puppies and look well taken care of. No collars/tags. I can keep them until Monday then will have to take them to the shelter. Found 9/4/06 On Monday, September 4th, I was traveling along Three Chopt Rd., near Barrington when I happened upon two dogs. They traveled into the road and ran onto Pump, ending up in the Ukrops shopping center. I tried to connect with veterinarians but was unsuccessful due to the holiday.
I have room at my home (although my own dogs are not happy with this new
event Dog #1: Female, young in appearance, thin. Looks very much like a dalmation with white coat and black spots. Also has brown spots. Dog #2: Looks similar to an English Spaniel....white coat with black spotting as well. Male with predominately black face, including ears. The nose area is mostly white however. Both dogs are extremely docile and apparently are house dogs (judging from their desire to come inside the home). The male dog has excessive phlegm around the mouth that I hope is simply an indication of his drool and not anything else. Found May 29th in the CVS parking lot on Patterson & Pump Road in the West End of Henrico.I couldnt leave the dog by itself it was almost night time so it is in my care until I can put up flyers and such. The dog did not seem to be very old I think it can't be more than a year old. It seems like it is a mix maybe a pit bull but I could defintely be wrong. It is a female dog and she is the sweetest thing she has a purple collar that has hearts all around it. I just wanted to send a description in case anyone had called about a lost dog in that area. On Oct. 16, 2005, we found a light brown pit bull mix on East Broad
Street between 30th and 31st in Richmond. It's a male, probably 9-12 months old,
with light brown fur and white markings on his chest and paws. He's not
neutered. He has a blue collar but no tags. We have cats and can only keep him
for a week or so before we'll have to turn him over to a rescue agency. A photo

  Found -- On Tuesday am, a lost dog was hanging out in my company's parking lot when we got to work. He looks like he is in okay shape - probably was an outside dog. He is extremely sweet and we're sure someone is missing him. I tried to take him home last night, get him to my vet (Dr. Hunter @ Countryside) so that he could get in touch with you but the dog is so timid that I couldn't coax him into the car. He ended up spending the night here at the company. We do not want to call Animal Control - we all fear he will be euthanized - is there anything that you can do? I have listed the dog on all of the recommended websites from the Richmond SPCA site, all employees have posted flyers around town and we've even alerted NBC12 news. We've been feeding him. Bought him a collar + leash. As much as all of the employees love him, he cannot stay here for company liability reasons. Can you help? Looks like a male - red lab mix. He is neutered. | Found -- A beagle (mix maybe) showed up on my doorstep this morning. She's in good shape and couldn't be missing long. She recently had puppies. Sweet disposition, let me put her on a leash & walked well on leash. Somebody must be missing their pet. She let me pick her up & give her a bath in my laundry sink, didn't mind a bit. (although she wasn't dirty, I was really kind of looking for fleas/ticks which there were none. I have called Goochland Animal Control, FLAG, Dr. May, Manakin Sabot Vetinary Clinic, Short Pump Animal Clinic & Dr. Washburn in Goochland & left a description in case they get a call. around the mouth. He has a small white spot on this chest and a little
white on his paws. Lots of fur and is very sweet. I know he would love to

We had a dog wander up to our house last weekend. It is a black lab mix and has a
very good demeanor and is a really sweet, happy dog. We have posted flyers all
around our area and noone has called, nor have I seen any lost posters or found any lost
listings online. We have another dog that is a female too that is a puppy and is a
Siberian "spaz" Husky, so the older lab and her really don't get along as well
as we would like (and we really don't want another dog), so I doubt that we can keep the

in chester - mineola/chip chase area. Young neutered male - about 50/60 lbs. Reddish brown
with darker brown 'saddle' on his back.. Looks like he may have some 'setter' or 'hound'
in him although he has short hair. He was wearing a red collar with heavy chain attached
and frayed yellow rope. Very friendly - gets along with my other 3 dogs but we just can't

Male Dog on 10-25-03 in the Sandston area of Henrico County...according to people in our
neighborhood he has been running around our area for approximately three weeks...he looks
to be about 1 yr old, golden brown in color, either a german shepard/collie mix or german
shepard/husky mix. He is extremely friendly, good natured with other animals (dogs
and cats), he appears to be house trained...he was found with no tags, no collar and he is
not nuetered. We would love to find his owners or a good home to go to. We
already have two dogs and two cats of our own and will be unable to keep him our selves.

| Found: Someone found a wonderful black female lab mix
with long hair and a white patch of fur on her chest the week of July 31 at the I-295 and
Route 33 Interchange near the Henrico/Hanover Line. The dog is currently in the Hanover
County Animal Shelter near Ashland. She is probably about 5 years old, weighs about 60lbs.
She sits on command and seems very excited about going for walks on a leash. I visited the
dog at the shelter to see if she could be "Flower," the dog we lost last January
in Goochland, but she isn't (though she could be her twin, except that she's too young!).
Thought I should pass this info on to you in case her owners live in Henrico and haven't
looked for her in Hanover.

dog yesterday (6/25/03) in Innsbrook, on the corner of Cox Rd & Nuckols Rd. He
is Long Haired with Black with Tan markings (marking of a Doberman). He is an
unneutered male dog. The pads on his feet are worn out and sore, so he may have
travelled far. He is very sweet and hopped right in my car. He looks like he

Found June 2, 2003: A stray, male, yellow labrador retriever in our backyard in Wyndham Monday evening, June 2, 2003, while we were out working in the yard. He came up and was very friendly. He did not have a collar or any identification that I could see. He was very thirsty and ate some dog food. When my husband told him to sit, he sat! He was very sweet natured and appeared to be a young dog, maybe one or two, perhaps a little older. He may have come from a home in Wyndham, but there are many nearby neighboring subdivisions from which he may have strayed. He is currently at the Henrico Animal Control Shelter 652-3360. He was picked up in the Chadsworth neighborhood in the Wyndham subdivision. He appeared to be a purebred Yellow Lab Retriever.

Adult female yellow lab who was found on Main St. on Wedsnesday evening, May 14th
by a Henrico County resident. The dog did have tags, but when the number was called,
Papa John's answered! She is approximately 60lbs. and very sweet. Also, it
appeared that she may have had pups recently. The dog was taken to the Henrico
